Admissions.  Paul Rudd continues his relentless campaign to appear in every lame comedy released in theaters.  With Prince Avalanche, Almost Christmas, and This is the End still to be released this year, the question has to be asked:  Has some evil genius who hates comedies cloned this guy?

Gangster Squad.  A bunch of flatties ditch their buzzers and take on Mickey Cohen and his trouble boys.  There’s plenty of Chicago lightning and chin music, but it’s all just a trip for doughnuts.

Blancanieves.  It has bullfighting dwarfs.  What else do you want to know?

  1. Been monthse since I saw Gangster Squad so your review was like a post traumatic stress flashback. Great zinger about Gosling not being man enough to be a bible salesman. Has he been in a good movie yet?

    • Maybe Drive, although that was mainly a director’s movie and the director had the good sense to keep Gosling silent through most of it. Then again, a lot of what that film had going for it was a supporting cast of people like Bryan Cranston and Albert Brooks. So, has Gosling been in a good movie yet? Maybe. Has he been good in a movie yet? Probably not.
